Omorovicza Midnight Radiance Mask | Review and Giveaway

There are a few things that get me really excited. New nail polishes, the perfect lipstick for the evening, and trying out high end skincare. While I can usually get my hands on the first two, high end skincare is a little tougher on my budget to try out all the time. So when I had the opportunity to try out the brand new product from Omorovicza, I had to jump at the chance.

In September, Omorovicza (pronounced o-mor-o-veet-sa) released its latest product, the Midnight Radiance Mask ($155 CDN/$125 USD). You can purchase the mask at select Nordstrom locations, omorovicza.com, and Sephora.com. Containing the brand’s Hydro Mineral Transference™ system, this mask can deliver the therapeutic minerals to the deepest layers of the skin.

The Omorovicza Midnight Radiance Mask is an overnight treatment that contains salicylic acid, sand lily, red algae, sodium hyaluronate, copper gluconate, and sunflower seed oil. I’ll breakdown what all these ingredients do below. Together, the mask promises to gently exfoliate, promote cell renewal, hydrate the skin, and even out your skin tone.

Now what do these ingredients do for your skin?

Salicylic acid is also known as beta hydroxy acid. Like AHAs, it gently exfoliates the skin so that you don’t have built up dry skin. It can also help with acne as there aren’t too many dead skin cells to clog your pores. Salicylic acid can also help with hyperpigmentation as well as enhancing cell renewal.

Sand lily is a botanical and helps with dark spots. It can reduce the size and pigmentation of the dark spots by interfering with both melanin production and release in the skin.

Red algae and sodium hyaluronate (think hyaluronic acid) both help with hydration so that the moisture is locked into your skin and stays in there throughout the night.

Copper gluconate tackles the production of sebum in your skin so that it is balanced and not overproduced. Also, copper gluconate can purify the skin. If you are looking at other skincare products, zinc gluconate can do these things as well.

I’ve been trying out the Omorovicza Midnight Radiance Mask for the past week and I am so happy with how my skin has responded to it. I apply it at night after I have cleansed, toned, and applied serum. I don’t need to put a moisturizer on when I use this and I still wake up with glowing skin. My skin looks more even in tone, plump, hydrated, and feels more subtle. I have used it multiple days in a row and haven’t seen any adverse results from that. Because the mask is so expensive, I would recommend using 1-2 times a week to get the great results and make them last for a longer time period.

Hmmm high end that I love the most… for skincare, my threshold is really low because I wouldn’t spend as much on it as I would makeup… but I’ll go with the Dermalogica Precleanse. It’s like $60 or $70 bucks for a few ounces and it works like a charm but I just cannot pull the plug on buying it for myself. Got it from PR once and that was amazing, and it was hands down my FAVOURITE oil cleanser ever… but I just can’t do it for that price tag. 😦
